Welcome to this site which features photographs taken on walks in the Black Mountains, a stunningly beautiful but relatively little known area of the Brecon Beacons National Park near Abergavenny.
The panoramic picture above (taken from the Western flank of the Sugar Loaf), shows Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons at the left edge, Pen Cerrig-calch and Pen Allt Mawr on the Western edge of the Black Mountains in the centre, and Waun Fach and Pen y Gadair Fawr, the highest points, on the right.
